OMFG, I have only now just regained control of my legs. It has been exactly 7 days and I think my lower thighs went into a cataclysmic shut down. In fact four days after finishing the pyramid in sub target time. I tried to hurry across the road as a Jeep Cherokee bared down on me on my way to work. I went to hurry my shuffle and nearly collapsed under the tread of the wheel.A few things occurred to me at this point. Number one A Jeep Cherokee has really good brakes, Number two I am crazy and three I am still in a good position at achieving my goal. In fact after climbing the mountain I had a feeling this would be the last time I did it until the end of the wet season. This is not so. I will do it again soon, barring foul weather and the blister on my little toe healing (post firs ascent).
Lets face it if I can get my time down to under three hours in the summer I should have no troubles getting it further down in the winter. The other thing I need to do is refocus my energies. A quiet word to a personal trainer at the gym I think should do it. Thankfully the gym offers free personal trainer sessions once a month. Sticking with the idea "I will achieve this myself", I will have to consult the trainer with some specific thigh endurance exercises to avoid further meltdowns. Lets face it you don't suck eggs with out speaking to Granny first...
It looks pretty challenging in that photo! Sure you can do it...plenty of time to prepare!
