Vanquishing time

The Lard's Prayer

Our fat who art in thighs
temporary be thy nature,

For I have will
and your cells I kill,

With riding and running
and dietary cunning.

Forgive us our trespassers
into aisles of candy

 Lead us not into temptation
and deliver us firmness and fitness.

Apologies for those one or two readers that actually read this, I have been a little busy. With the university semester here I will try and update. I have been well behaved this last two weeks and have been rewarded by the loss of another couple of kilos. I have notched up over 300 kilometers on the bike and still do the odd run. I have given the gym the flick temporarily. Obviously there was far to much toning going on for weight loss.

This week is going to be a hard one as I close in on double figures, I am heading for the big push, aiming for 3-4 kilos this week, which will mean some dietary sacrifices. No late night chocolate snacks. (Although this constitutes 4 squares of dark chocolate at night). Lunchtime tuna in spring water and salad (yum).

Riding everyday this week. The heat is a killer. But when you walk out and its 37 degrees and all you have is your bike to get home no point focusing on it.  Apart from that small tender piece of skin that barely gets noticed when not riding, I have been feeling remarkably good with the riding. 30-40 minutes depending on head wind or heat. One fantastic day of light drizzle and about 25 degrees, saw me power the 17k's in 28 minutes (a pretty good run of green lights).

Well its about 35 degrees now, with a few clouds and  a chance of rain (one can only hope). Oooh look there are my running shoes. Some socks and I am gone....
