Target in Sight

Ok doing well, early morning went as planned. Went so well I have been too fagged at night to actually sit down and write something. Well at the moment I am not breaking any land speed records but I am starting to notch up a few km's under my belt and they are around a hill track. By no means is it the extent of the pyramid but it is conditioning all the same. I have surprised myself with how well this has gone. The 'Red Arrow' is only 1.2km around and has a lot of steps. So I get up at 0430 in the morning slap my face a few times ask myself the question in the mirror, 'tell me agian how stupid you are?', pack my two boiled eggs in my work pack (brekkie), large glass of water, and off I go.

I run three times around the goat track which looks out over Cairns from its peak (Quite lovely in the morning). The air is often clear as I have inhaled any clouds as I am doubled over forcing whatever could be left in my stomach back down sucking the atmosphere into my lungs. Thank god there are no bush fires around as I would no doubt have a coating of tar on my bronchioles by now. When I say run three times this maybe a slight exaggeration. The first time is not so bad takes me a while to warm up, the second time is mildly pleasant, well as pleasant as can be running up a couple of hundred stairs, and the third is often done on all fours.

I have lost a little more weight but I am still like a boulder rolling with momentum, slow at first. When I start these down hill runs its great but I nearly couldn't stop myself and nearly had to throw out the emergency parachute the other day. This actually means falling over and using my arse as a brake, and as I am often on bitumen when I need to slow down this would be like running my bum over really course sand paper for approximately 100 meters, this option actually makes me think that breaking my leg may be less painful just a longer incapacitation.

Actually dare I say it I am nearly at my lightest and I think now I have just been bitten by the exercise bug, which, in my history of inflation and deflation weight regimes, is usually a cycle that last nine months or so. This is good news. As I am usually getting this with like 20 kilos more weight. So now if I can just tame the diet over chrissy, curb the alcohol consumption off and keep the km's ticking over, I could be in a good position to break the 100 kilo mark by the end of January. Lets see how we go.

On a side note. I will be attempting to run from Gordonvale to the half way point on the 27th of January to see how far behind the hour I am. For those that can't remember I have to be at the halfway point with in the hour of the race to not be turned back.

Now on a side side note mini goal achieved about 100 push ups a day. Considering I couldn't do 10 three months ago, doing ok.  Only problem is backed off on my abdominal thing me jiggers. Evidence of love handles emphasises the fact I should do them more....

Wt 106.6kg
Still only 6 minute km's  but bugger me it is hot
Red Arrow three times round at least twice a week
Gym twice a week.
Heavy weight session once a week.
60-100 push ups a day
30 Dips unassisted (I like these but they really hurt)
